Vintage Lace Tablecloths or Bedspreads

These bedspreads, throws, tablecloths and lace panels are all from the 1930's and have never been used, so are in pristine condition for material that is almost 100 years old. All are 100% cotton and some still have the DelBeta manufacturer's label attached (they may have been sample pieces).

The DelBeta label is that of Dobsons & M. Browne & Co and the items were manufactured at DelBeta House, Queens Road, Nottingham, which was adjacent to the Nottingham Midland railway station. The company designed and manufactured the famous WWII commemorative panel, of which only 38 were made before the jacquards were destroyed. During the war, Dobson & Browne devoted most of its output to the production of mosquito and camouflage netting. We have no further information about the company after 1947 when they showed at Earls Court in London. The bedspread VTW202 was made on the same loom as the commemorative panels.
